Easter 2013

Be still my heart...

Momma's Sweet Babies
I hope you all had a very Happy Easter!  We enjoyed the weekend thoroughly...and spent lots of time with family rejoicing in a Savior that is Risen!

We had our first {maybe annual} Egg Hunt/Pizza party at our house this year.  So many kids and so much fun!  I opted for the easy way out  - plastic eggs and peeps on top of the cupcakes - but I think it turned out cute! {The icing was homemade...so that counts for something right?}

Our Easter Treats
I lucked out and found a monogrammed Easter basket from my local place (on sale via FB for $12) for Caroline and will order a new liner for Charlie...all the boys will have matching baskets/liners and Caroline's will coordinate.  Best Easter basket investment ever...these things should last us ages and I don't have to worry about buying a new one every year.  Not to mention I think they are super cute!

All of the kiddos...post Egg Hunt and just before the rain.

I'm sad to say we didn't go to church {gotta work on that} Sunday morning...but we did color Easter eggs with Poppie and Gigi and Katie and her crew.

Poppie and Caroline...ready to dye some eggs!

Andy and Gigi found a groove.

Parker was ready to "take it out" as soon as he dropped it in.

Some serious Easter egg coloring.

Works of art.

Easter Sunday tradition dictates we go to my Granny's for lunch and an egg hunt...33 plus years running.  Again...lots of kids and lots of fun.  It is a little sad to have family gatherings without my Aunt Nancy...but I'm sure she was smiling down on us from above. We opted for "easy" foods this year so that my almost 89 year old granny wouldn't stress over cooking a big meal.  Mom made some fantastic homemade chicken salad and pimento cheese sandwiches...even Nick thought the chicken salad was great...and he isn't a chicken salad kinda guy. After lunch we always hide eggs for the kiddos...and let me tell you...that was no easy task with the number of eggs we had!

My Granny and all of her great-grandchildren.
Egg Madness!

Sweet girl.

I found one!

Such a boy.

Hope your Easter weekend was just as happy!
