Summer Bucket List

In my quest to avoid sitting in the house all day long watching my millionth epidsode of a-ha {Curious George}, I have started a summer bucket list of sorts.  It would be great to cross everything off the list, but even if we do a few I will call it a success.  Most of the things on the list will be cheap/free to accomodate our shoestring budget {which I am thankful for yet another year of part-time teaching next year!}.

Would love to know if you have any ideas to add to the list!

  1. Watch trains {task completed in the car in the middle of nowhere MS or AR..no pics}
  2. Watch planes at Charlie Brown Airport
  3. Feed ducks

  4. Arkansas trip {10 long hours...and barely any pics to show for it...darn it!}

  5. Zoo Atlanta
  6. Six Flags {Gigi bought us season passes}
  7. Imagine It! Children's Museum
  8. Lego Land {need to find a deal on this} {a little helter-skelter...but we had a good time with Tatie and her boys...4D movie was by far this Momma's favorite part}
  9. Fernbank
  10. Picnic lunch with Daddy on the Square
  11. Play in the fountains at Silver Comet Depot {attempted but lighting and the power jet fountain ran us off before we had any fun}
  12. Go swimming {if you want to call clinging to Momma and Daddy swimming...no Baby Andy this year}
  13. Play in sprinklers {so fun...need to do this some more}
  14. Bake cookies
  15. Play with sidewalk chalk {maybe next time not at 5pm...that concrete gives off some heat...duh!}
  16. Watch fireworks - downtown Powder Springs or EW Church for the 4th
  17. 4th of July parade on the Square
  18. Storytime at a library
  19. Visit an outdoor Farmer's Market
  20. Eat {lots} of popsicles
  21. Ice cream at Bruster's
  22. Moo-vies at the Mable
  23. Eat dinner on the deck
  24. Candlelight Concert at the Mable House
  25. Splash Park {two weekends in a row...wish I had one in my backyard! Kiddos LOVE it.}
  26. Eat at The Varsity
  27. Braves game
  28. Gwinnett Braves game
  29. Explore Kennesaw Mountain
  30. Georgia Aquarium
  31. Long walks on the Silver Comet Trail
  32. Play dates with friends
  33. Meet Baby Carson {the Costco parking lot counts right?}
  34. Eat frozen yogurt

    More please!

    Yummmm...pink spoons make it better!
35. Throw pennies in a fountain

They all had...

different...

techniques!

  1. What a fun summer bucket list! We have a neighbor who does movie nights on their lawns. Fun for the kids, but makes for a late night since we have to wait until it gets dark to start the movie projector.

  2. I want to do some of these with you! Let's plan a Friday!!! I've been wanting to do the Children's Museum, too, but we can always do something closer to both of us!! Love you!
