In my quest to avoid sitting in the house all day long watching my millionth epidsode of a-ha {Curious George}, I have started a summer bucket list of sorts. It would be great to cross everything off the list, but even if we do a few I will call it a success. Most of the things on the list will be cheap/free to accomodate our shoestring budget {which I am thankful for yet another year of part-time teaching next year!}.
Would love to know if you have any ideas to add to the list!
Watch trains {task completed in the car in the middle of nowhere MS or AR..no pics}
- Watch planes at Charlie Brown Airport
- Feed ducks
Arkansas trip {10 long hours...and barely any pics to show for it...darn it!}
- Zoo Atlanta
- Six Flags {Gigi bought us season passes}
- Imagine It! Children's Museum
Lego Land {need to find a deal on this} {a little helter-skelter...but we had a good time with Tatie and her boys...4D movie was by far this Momma's favorite part}
- Fernbank
- Picnic lunch with Daddy on the Square
Play in the fountains at Silver Comet Depot {attempted but lighting and the power jet fountain ran us off before we had any fun}
Go swimming {if you want to call clinging to Momma and Daddy swimming...no Baby Andy this year}
Play in sprinklers {so fun...need to do this some more}
- Bake cookies
Play with sidewalk chalk {maybe next time not at 5pm...that concrete gives off some heat...duh!}
- Watch fireworks - downtown Powder Springs or EW Church for the 4th
- 4th of July parade on the Square
- Storytime at a library
- Visit an outdoor Farmer's Market
Eat {lots} of popsicles
- Ice cream at Bruster's
- Moo-vies at the Mable
- Eat dinner on the deck
- Candlelight Concert at the Mable House
Splash Park {two weekends in a row...wish I had one in my backyard! Kiddos LOVE it.}
- Eat at The Varsity
- Braves game
- Gwinnett Braves game
- Explore Kennesaw Mountain
- Georgia Aquarium
- Long walks on the Silver Comet Trail
- Play dates with friends
Meet Baby Carson {the Costco parking lot counts right?}
Eat frozen yogurt

What a fun summer bucket list! We have a neighbor who does movie nights on their lawns. Fun for the kids, but makes for a late night since we have to wait until it gets dark to start the movie projector.
ReplyDeleteI want to do some of these with you! Let's plan a Friday!!! I've been wanting to do the Children's Museum, too, but we can always do something closer to both of us!! Love you!
