The Middle School came on and told the story of Peter Pan. Peter Pan {and Tink too} led the crowd on an adventure to Neverland...complete with flying (after a sprinkle of fairy dust of course}, Wendy, John, Michael, Indians, mermaids, pirates, and Captain Hook! We can't forget the silly {and scary} crocodile too!
C, P, and A were amazed by the performance and Caroline was a little overwhelmed by Captain Hook being chased by the crocodile. However, we have since created a fun game {which unfortunately looks a little too much like a UF Gator chomp}where we say "tick tock tick tock..." and the kiddos answer with a resounding hand clap and SNAP! It also goes along with one of our favorite five little monkeys bedtime books...so two birds one hand clap I suppose.
I think however the strangest maybe even perhaps most humorous part of the evening is how fast chairs were put away at the end of the night. I'm all for helpful parents, but goodness you would have thought there was a prize for putting up chairs the fastest. These people were crazy about chair clean-up...I was afraid I might be dumped right out of my chair while holding A and P! Dang chair nazis!
It was also Gigi's birthday, but we didn't get to go out and celebrate with a Yeah! Burger visit...the kiddos, the Babe, and the Granny were too tired and I can't say I was a ball of energy.
I can't wait until next years play and I know I will be fighting back the tears when C, P, and A take the stage too!
Good job Madison!
